Organized religion, no matter what part of the world, has always been built on a corporate model. When times are good you build huge edifices, when times are slim you declare a ' Holy War'. Sort of like a hostile takeover in contemporary times.

Francis thinks that everything has to do with some religious gathering site or a worship center. He even often calls water wells a place where mystical worship happens. It seems he often pushes his desire for always finding a higher meaning in places where, as in a spring or well, people need to drink, cook, and bathe. But I do like his enthusiasm.

They drank beer because they liked the beer. Drinking it because you had to is absolute bs :D. If you had to boil the water to brew with it, why didn't they just drink the boiled water and skiped the brewing step? ;D

It’s sad that the Peat Moor Visitor Centre closed in 2009. Even sadder is that being a self admitted Anglophile, I never knew Time Team existed until a couple of months ago. Talk about food for the spirit! Thank you Tim Taylor and team for all the amazing adventures, especially the experimental archaeology. I’m glad video was made and has been shared, because national history should never be lost due to budget cuts.

Carenza, (do yourself justice by Googling Carenza Lewis honored with BALA) last Sept. '23, received the HIGHEST AWARD possible, The British Academy Landscape Archaeology Medal, for her continuing work in landscape archeology given in the UK, & not every year. It has to be EARNED, not given. No, Mich's name is not listed. She was interviewed by Ms. Wooten via the current TT vids on American Utube. She has been doing thousands of digs around her country , entire UK, for young people to get them interested in the field, lectures,...this woman is passionate about her chosen field, ever since she found an ichthyosaur bone in her back yard at age 9... So, yeah. She's more knowledgeable than most & women still don't get the breaks we deserve. I know it's happened to most women. She's accomished more than even perhaps our beloved Mick, who admired her greatly. She left due to cancer diagnosis from a notorious MD, who misdiagnosed over 220 UK women . Many of whom did not survive.

It's hard to imagine how regular people lived in these times. They had it so hard, real work. In pain, exaused. They worked for everything they got. It makes u really think. How people now complain about drive thru, first world problems. Social media, clothes styles. These days everyone complains and has something to say. I'd like to put them people in these types of situations. See how they fair. Coming back to the 21 centery, they'd learn to b more humble and appreciate what they have. It could always b worse
